I was born in the North West of England - in the city of Chester on the 10th of December 1954 - that makes me 52 years young.

I am married to Judith (over 29 years to date) and have one grown up son - Gareth.

I like playing tennis (I am a member of my local tennis club).

I am interested in photography (my current camera is a Nikon digital SLR) and I play about with Photoshop to digitally enhance my photos.

I have a general interest in most things especially science, history and the natural world.

I enjoy a wide breadth of music especially classical.

I like to speak French, although I am a long way off fluency I can engage in conversational French when Judith and I visit France (which is usually about once a year on vacation).

I also take a keen interest in the stock markets of the UK and North America together with the world ecomony as a whole. I indulge to modest degree in a number of investments; as a result I have become interested in fundamental and technical indicators that can be applied to stock price movements.
